Playposit Notes - Geography of Rome
Map Activity - Early Rome
Use the Maps I have provided here to label the following things on your map. You don't need to color but should put some waves where water is so that you can easily tell what is water and what is land.
Seas and Oceans: Mediterranean Sea Black Sea Atlantic Ocean Countries/Regions: Italy Greece Turkey (Asia Minor) Saudi Arabia (Middle East) Continents: Europe Asia Africa Mountains: Alps Rivers (draw it in): Tiber River (This will look super small on your map but do the best you can! Use an arrow for labeling if you need to!) Cities: Rome (remember it is located on the Tiber River close to the sea) - This should be labeled with a dot or star to show its exact location! |

Going Beyond Activity - The Etruscans and Rome
1st -
View the video and answer the questions as you watch (you DO NOT have to write the answers on paper as you go but DO them on the video). 2nd - Then get a sheet of paper from my front table and complete the task below in a 5 to 8 sentence paragraph: Use evidence from the video to either argue for or against the statement below. The city of Rome and the Roman civilization would have been significantly different without the influence of the Etruscans. |
