3. Write a Paragraph

Write paragraph explaining the events of 9-11.  You can use the information that was talked about in class, covered in the videos, and/or from the readings.  The paragraph should have an introductory sentence and 3-5 significant events that explain the importance of 9-11.

4. Class Discussion- Student Reflections

As we finish up the lesson, please take some time to reflect on the knowledge you have gained today.  Think back to the important parts of the video and the reading.  How did they help you in your "Speech" assignment?  Did you cite specific textual evidence from the video and/or the reading?
Last but not least, as I always say, "It's not how smart you are on the first day of school, it's how much you grow as a person academically, emotionally and physically."  Let's take advantage of getting the most out of this assignment and really try to grow and be better students tomorrow than you were today.

Extending the Lesson...

Watch this video on how Osama Bin Laden was captured.

Making Historical Connections

Research the bombing of Pearl Harbor that took place on December 7th, 1941 during World War II.  Briefly describe its significance and try to relate it to 9-11.
